Faculty and Staff
Intervention Process
STEP 1: Faculty Raise Flag/Kudo/Referral Notifications
Faculty can raise notifications in ECU CONNECT at anytime during the semester. Faculty can add comments to the notification raised. All comments can be seen by the student and support connections. Please note that not all notification options are in the Progress Surveys, you can raise all notifications by going to ECU CONNECTÂ > Students > MyStudents. See instructor guide below.
STEP 2: Email is sent to Student
Email is sent to the students ECU email account from the individual who raised the notification. There is a template for each notification raised and any comments entered by the faculty member are included in the email.
STEP 3: Advisor and Network Connection Follow-up
Academic Advisors and other support personal connected to that student in ECU CONNECT will have access to the raised notifications.
Faculty
Faculty will have an opportunity to complete a course ECU CONNECT Early Success Survey four times per semester. Once the survey is submitted, instructors will not be able to send a notification again through this survey method until the next survey is released. If a survey was submitted in error, please contact us as another survey can be released for an individual course. Instructors can always raise a notification through ECU CONNECT > Students > MyStudents.
Advisors and Success Team Connections
Advisors and other support personnel have the ability to track notifications raised on their students. You must have a connection to a student through ECU CONNECT to see any notifications raised. Please contact us if a connection needs to be created. We can customize roles for individuals who are coordinating academic programs so that you can track notifications raised on specific students within the program.
